Outline Studios makes commercials for television, theater or even business and private showings. Outline Studios makes also event tapings from smaller private occasions to larger public events.

Fiction films

The fiction production side of Outline Studios is specialized in small, digital workflow employing short- and feature films. Up until this day we have been co-producers in two feature films in Finland and Africa and currently we are in the process of finishing up a feature film that is completely our production. We have also made several half-feature and short film projects.

We are constantly looking for new, interesting projects. We wish to see more artistic and less mainstream stories in production. We do require however some thought behind the practical production of a proposal as well.

We are also trying to offe opportunities for amateur filmmakers who show talent for this field. We wish to elevate the Finnish independent film scene from the strictly amateur quality that it is currently representing. Low budget project shouldn't be considered not serious in this day and age, where funding is scarce and technology is cheap. However this doesn't mean that untrained and unexperienced people would suddenly be able to make masterpieces. Good film are made with clear vision and talent. These do not require schools or experience, but they are very rare.

Documentary films

Outline Studios has produced and contributed to several documentary film projects. Some of which have even seen theater distribution. We specialise on using small and light digital equipment so that it allows for extreme mobility, without compromizing quality. Of course every project has its own needs and we try to fulfill it.

EQUIPMENT SERVICES

Steadycam + operator

Outline Studios owns a full steadycam rig. The rig is a semi-heavy rig, usable with cameras up to 12kg of weight. It has been used with lighter 35mm cameras and carries traditional 16mm, RED One and television production cameras with ease.

OFFER: For a first-time trial period, we offer a discount on out steadycam+operator package. Our steadycam operator Mara Jelinko is well experienced with light and heavy steaadycam rigs.

Light equipment for professional digital workflow

Outline Studios has an equipment package that has been specifically built for rather light, digital acquisition and workflow. It is an HD quality equipment with everything that is needed for even fiction productions. This equipment is higly specialise and need specific knowledge or experience to operate. For this reason Outline Studios has now reduced its equipment rental to customers that are experienced enough in the use of our equipment. If the rental order is big enough, of course, we offer education in the use of the equipment.
